Võib-olla mängivad siin rolli lapsepõlve emotsioonid, aga tegemist on järjekordse guilty pleasure'iga. 
Filmi pikkus on päris korralik, samas nii hoogne, et kordagi ei hakanud igav. Eriefektid olid vinged ning muusika sobis. Kuigi tegemist järjekordse USA-keskse katastroofifilmiga, näidati vähemalt kaadreid teistest maailmapaikadest.
Napikalt pääsemised muutusid etteaimatavaks. Gracie tundus esialgu päris ok tegelane, hiljem osutus ta üleliigseks draamakuningannaks. Dottie nägi välja uhke ja aukartust äratav. Meeskonna ebasobiva käitumisega sooviti vist näidata, kuidas nad on selle töö jaoks valed inimesed, eriti võrreldes treenitud astronautidega. Oleks võinud leida vähem in your face viisi, kuidas seda edasi kanda. 8/10

Oeh, sellise asja jaoks on raske sõnu leida. Michael Bay emotsionaalne overkill oma parimas vormis. Nii üle sentimentaliseeritud kraam, et vaat et imo isegi parim oma žanris. Lasen parematel ja mind naerma pannud tsitaatidel-teemadel-mõttekäikudel rääkida:

Everyone in Italy rides a scooter.
Everyone in Asia lives in shacks.
Everyone in France has a Citroen 2CV (despite ending production 8 years before this movie was made).
All of the 1 billion people in India live in and around the Taj Mahal.
People in 3rd world (Arab) countries still drive cars from the 1940s (in one scene the only car we see is a 1940s De Soto)."
Kindlasti on neid näiteid veel, kõige teadust eiravad jaburused jms. (Texase suurune komeet, aga 800 jalga puurimist ja asi lendab pooleks, alright). Fakt on ikkagi see, et meelelahutada see mees oskab, olgugi, et seda tehes kaotab ta igasuguse tõsiseltvõetavuse. Vaadates siiski tema viimaseid projekte, on Armageddon vägagi õnnestunud film.
